Description: La capa DMI Bosque Santa Inés delimita el área del Distrito de Manejo Integrado (DMI) ubicado en el municipio de San Marcos (Sucre), dentro de la región de La Mojana.Este polígono corresponde a una zona priorizada para acciones de restauración socioecológica y conservación de bosques inundables, en el marco del Plan Integrado de Restauración Socioecológica (PIRES) del Programa Mojana, Clima y Vida.En coordinación y apoyo técnico y operativo a la Corporación Ambiental CORPOMOJANA, se ejecutaron acciones de cerramiento perimetral del área protegida, con el propósito de reducir los impactos de los tensionantes antrópicos, tales como el ingreso de ganado, la tala y la extracción no controlada de recursos naturales.De igual manera, se realizó la instalación de vallas informativas y educativas, orientadas a la sensibilización ambiental, el fortalecimiento de la apropiación comunitaria y la protección efectiva del bosque inundable.El DMI Bosque Santa Inés constituye un núcleo estratégico de conectividad ecológica, esencial para el mantenimiento de los servicios ecosistémicos, la regulación hídrica y la adaptación basada en ecosistemas frente al cambio climático.
